This must be a first, Pilot accused of Hit and run with an airplane According to witnesses, the 67 year old pilot Joe Curtis wasted no time hanging around.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

...mind you...crashing your Aeroplane and choosing to remain in the the Cockpit is not something to be highly recommended!... :o... ;D...!

The story I heard is that he was carrying a black bag/satchel.  When he returned for the investigators, no such bag.  I can only imagine what was in that bag.
