I was watching Fox (don't start a debate), and they couldn't stress enough that it was only one man, and that the same thing could've happened with a car. Of course, it probably helped that one of the anchors was a pilot.

That's some kind of miracle! I'm sure having a pilot on the set helped with that.

I understand your concern. As soon as I heard it was delibrate, I looked at my wife and said flying may suddenly get a lot harder. There was already some of this floating around after 9/11. A radio talk/call-in show here (Mike McConnel) mentioned s few times how much damage this one plane caused to a large building.

I am concerned where this will lead.

Personally I think trying to regulate General Aviation is folly.  There's simply too much, especially around all the major metropolises where would be "Terrorists" would pick targets.

Due to their political nature, I will not share my views of the T S A here, just use your imagination.

This is not meant as a political discussion. The TSA has issues. we know that.

My concern is an attempt the increase regulations that will make it harder for more people to fly. Be it private jets, or single engine prop flyers like me.

Even then, this guy was a licensed pilot, with his own plane, no history of violence, or politcal militancy, just a tax problem. What regulation could possibly stop someone like him?
