It's only taken 10 years (I started flying in August 1999!), but I totted up my logbook today, and realised that last week I flew my 1000th hour. Hurrah!

The good news is that about 700 of them have only taken two and a half years (the last 2.5!), so hopefully the progression will be a little quicker now! :)

Reminds me that I need to total my log book for the end of this quarter. Great!  :-/

Wow! That's a fair whack!


It's a lot easier when the average sortie length is 4-5 hours! Compared to others I know 1000 is fairly insignificant! ;D

B1 (Cat C) licenced engineer, Boeing 737NG 600/700/800/900 Airbus A318/19/20/21 and Dash8 Q-400
1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
