Bravo!! I wonder if this is the same guy who was less successful a while back (crashed it just offshore, and miraculously survived unharmed).

I wonder if this is the same guy who was less successful a while back (crashed it just offshore, and miraculously survived unharmed).

The one I remember was a woman. Gloria Pullen in 1989. Louis Beriot's grandson also made a failed attempt in 1998. He didn't get very far. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/139583.stm

Edmond Salis* is the son of Jean Salis who runs the museum at La Ferte Alais. It includes many rare aircraft in airworthy condition.

I had no idea so many had done this in that type of airplane... not for the faint-hearted!!
