Nice Trap

Distance: 3 nm from the carrier
What altitude should I be and how fast should I be going flying F18 on a glide path towards the carrier.
What should the rate of deceleration be.

BTW. This is associated with the Abacus FD5.

I think this belongs in a sim discussion.

Can you not turn on the ILS to give you a glide slope?  I'm not familiar with this add-on

No ILS but a controller warns you if you are too high or too low and if you are too right too left. I think I will re-direct this question to the Abacus FD5 forum. Thanks.

You actually shouldn't be 3 nm out on final for a carrier landing, you have to fly the pattern.  Check out this video for a tutorial on how to fly the carrier pattern and landing.  And keep 8.1
