RIAT 2009

Postby Domj122 » Mon Apr 20, 2009 5:44 pm

Anyone here going to fairford to the RIAT?
I cannot wait as last year the weather spoilt the whole show and we were turned back because of the weather. I certainly hope they take extra precautions this time around.
Also the weekend after is the Farnbrough airshow

Certainly a great few weeks for top class airshows.

Blimey. Is it that time already? Only seems 5 minutes since they were talking about last year's show.

I think you might have to wait another year for Farnborough. It's been a biennial event for some years now.

I'll be there...but I'm pretty much just going for XH558. I was only 2 years old the last time I seen it fly...apparantley I didn't like it very much  ;D

Would like to see the aircraft participation list on the RIAT website fill up a bit more though. Just looks...well...empty. Makes me wonder if operational deployments will make a massive difference as to what aircraft will participate this year. They've always managed to fill the void somehow...

I received my both day valid ticket a few weeks ago....it can't be cancelled twice in a row right :P

Might also be up for the few days leading up to it for arrivals (I want to see a phantom flying before it's too late :P)

It was hardly any fault of the organisers though was it...
