Looking for two videos

Postby FsNovice » Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:12 pm

Guys, i'm doing a physics presentation for A Level physics(suprise suprise) and i've got all of it done, except one last bit i want as my finale really. My presentation is on carbon fibre in aircraft manufacture, and i have got all the physics stuff sorted, but i can't for the life of me find a video to show the 787 wing stress tests they did, because i want to compare that wing, made of almost all CFRP to say a boeing 747 made of aluminium composite. The problem is, even if i could find such a video on youtube, which i can't, youtube is banned in school so i really need another source. I realise eventually i could contact boeing press people and see if they would send me a copy, but that feels like a lot of work for something so simple.

I appreciate any responses

I found these two. Not a 787, but still "plastic". As far as You Tube being banned, does that mean internet access at school or banned from what ever medium. If it is just a lack of internet access at school, then what you need to do is, using Fire Fox, go to extensions and download "DownloadHelper". With this extension, you can download just about any video clip to your hard drive and then burn it to a CD/DVD. You would then have your presentation from You Tube, but not on You Tube.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
