This is merely a review flight. C. tells me we're going to Morristown, and on the way he will show me how to navigate the narrow corridor between Caldwell's Class D airspace and the middle tier of Newark's Class B. The trick is to stay below 1800 feet (to avoid penetrating the Class B vertically) while relying on prominent landmarks to avoid penetrating the Class D laterally.

The landmarks are, specifically, a pair of tall towers somewhere between West Orange and Livingston. Soon they appear, jutting to almost 1000 MSL. I guide 23F between them and spy MMU ahead. All goes smoothly-
