4th Flight

Well just got done with number four. Good news there was no oil leak with the Exxon Valdez C150, and I got ahold of the Jeppesen Private Pilot Manuel and the FAR/AIM, woohoo, I get to study silly government laws, anyone speak governmentain here? :P But at least its studying about something I enjoy. I did the preflight, taxiing, approach stalls, departure stalls, slow flight, steep turns, and four landings. I did do departure stalls for the first time today, it is a lot of fun I didn't think that in a C150 you could get such a crazy attitude, in FS is one thing, in real life thats another. Also my taxiing got a lot of work today, the Killdeer birds here are nuts they see the plane and run out on to the taxiway and not wanting a bird strike without even leaving the ground, you do a of footwork. ;) Next time I'll have someone take some pictures of me doing some touch and goes. ;)

[edit]Almost forgot to mention the bi-fold hanger door got stuck in the open postion, when we were the last people at the airport. What had happened was the door stop switch (a little switch at the top that shuts the door off when it opens) had picked this evening to pack up. So when we pushed the door close button nothing happened, reset the breakers still nothing, looked for a tall ladder there was none (The door folds up 20 feet above the ground). So we got hi-tech we found a step ladder and a very, very hi-tech...stick and poked and hit the door stop switch until it worked again. The preflight fuel gauge is almost as hi-tech...a stick with a notch cut out to mark were the fuel should be with full tanks. ;D   [/edit]
