Ohskosh? resurrected

Postby beaky » Fri Jul 25, 2008 4:43 pm

Too lazy to dig it up, but the call goes out again: who's going this year? i am going to slink away for a few days, if I feel my car is up to it by Sunday night.
I really just want to see the Boeing 40 fly, and of course meet up with friends.

Have fun at Ohskosh, but I've always wanted to go to Oshkosh. ;D If all goes well I'll be flying up next year. Post some pics of the Boeing 40.

I'm hopefully going up sometime, I don't really know when yet though.  My instructor might be flying his Yak-52 in one of the large formations they do up there so I want to see that.

I wish...

I just got a new job doing a paper route which is 7 days a week... I don't think they'd like it if I called out for a few days, when I've only had the job for three days. :P Maybe next year. Or maybe Sun-n-Fun next year. Wisconsin is closer. Sigh. Decisions. ::)

Next year I'll be there in an Ultralight or a glider, as that'll be the only thing I'll be allowed to fly  ;D

My mental clock is so askew..  :D

I'm going to be up that way this weekend (per our converstaion).. and had it in the back of my mind that THIS was the big weekend  :-[

I've got some biz to tend to in Escanaba, MI (about 150 miles north) and was planning to hop over to KOSH... so my suggestion that we might still meet up missed by a week.. I'm getting senile.. lol

If you're gonna have time to kill on your way through Ohio (either way).. I'm going to be in Columbus that week...

Okay, but I'm re-confused: are you thinking of visiting KOSH this weekend, or next? If I do go, I'll probably arrive mid-week and leave Sunday afternoon (ish).

I may very well have time to kill on the way out; I'm thinking of stopping overnight this time instead of killing myself getting out there. Columbus would be convenient... how is your sofa? ;) ;D

Well, not unless I get a trip over the water.

First day of Oshkosh and I'm not there.  Too depressing to think I'll be studying for my psych of learning final on friday while so many are doing cool stuff
