Gulfstream IV in trouble over Bristol?

Postby Mictheslik » Sat May 17, 2008 8:27 am

Not really sure what it's doing, but appears to be circling over Frenchay/Filton with it's gear up and flaps down, possibly burning off fuel. Has been doing so for about an hour now, at quite a low altitude (less than  about 2000ft I would say.....certainly much lower than the traffic going into Bristol.)

All taken from my back garden.....

Any ideas what's going on?

having done some research I have discovered it belongs to Hewlet Packard, who have a factory near Filton.....maybe it's just a very expensive sightseeing flight for the executives?

Very interesting. You probably won't hear anything about it unless something goes wrong. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
