Yep, I mentioned the Tristar. Confirmed it was an RAF tanker (got photos today, rego ZD953), you are lucky, she really is a beautiful bird. Not what one would usually find on this half of the globe!
On the topic of ZD953, I wasn't aware she was painted in RAF low-vis? Only photos I can find of her are in the high-vis (half white, half grey) scheme.
What defines rare? Well, 757s have been mass produced. We get them only when a C-32 visits Sydney, so thats rare.
And there is only one An-225 produced - if you live around Gostomel - still rare. Its all up to your own judgement.
