A ten minute ride into Town in a 'Bus full of passengers is more than I can cope with.... :'(...!

Did  Las Vegas to Newark once in a 757... not that long a trip but it was tortuous.

Enjoy.
;D

What's bringing you to New York (besides the 757)?

If there was someplace I needed to be, that was important enough to spend 8 hours in a plane... it would be 8 hours in a first-class seat, in a 747...

there is nothing wrong with flying trans-atlantic on a 757.  i have done it on icelandair from iceland to florida, and it was fine.  more than enough space.

When are you leaving, might try and come up and get a piccie for you ;)

I have no experience of 757s but I should imagine the seating is the same as a larger airliner, just less of it.....and only one isle

Most recent flight on a 757-200 was with American Airlines from DFW-LAX.  Quite comfy really.  Now the 14.5 & 14 hours on the Malaysia 747-400's is a different story :o :'(

If I had a choice between economy on a 757 going on a long haul and economy on a 747 going long haul I'd gladly take the 757 any day :P

a few of continental's 757s now have AVOD installed in economy, so there is always a slim chance you will be on one of them.  that will pass the time nicely.

I've got a 5.5 hour flight from Dulles to San Diego in a 757 with United coming up on Wednesday.  Not dreading it since I'll spend most of my time plugging away on my laptop anyway.  The flight I think I'll enjoy is the connection from Manchester NH to Dulles on an Embrer 145.  I love the "little" jets.  :)

Audio Video on Demand - in other words, a seat back tv.  its meant to be really good though from what I have heard.
