Private widebodies etc.

A few recent news, one from general aviation and one elsewhere...

A certain man from Hong Kong, named Joseph Lau, in his fifties, recently travelled commercial in First Class. A fellow passenger, male, changed into pajamas, so that Joseph saw his underpants. Joseph was shocked, and he observed that there were ladies in first class, too.

Joseph promptly bought 6 (six) private jets, including a Boeing 787!

Does Hong Kong have a Part 125? If yes, Joseph has to hire at least two CPL-s to fly the Dreamliner. If not, then a Dreamliner is under Annex 6 Part II equally with other general aviation planes, like Learjets, so it can presumably be flown by two private pilots provided the captain has 787 type rating on PPL...

Another news: one Mukesh Ambani started building a house in Mumbai which costs

I'm sure anyone who can afford to own a private jet could pay for an ATPL and type rating, and I'm sure there are some limits imposed on types on a PPL... ;D

For some people, ATPL and even CPL are not available for any money. Like all those over 65.

In USA, there are - Part 125 limits PPLs to types with under 20 seats and under 2700 kg payload capacity. In ICAO Annex 6, no such limits!
