Steve, he's not so anonymous now is he?![]()
Question: is that airspace restricted (down to the surface)?
Charlie will confirm this but I was once told that the whole of the UK is designated as a military low-flying area. I believe this comes under LFA 07. http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/About ... iation/Low Flying/LFAs/
it is one of the busiest military low flying areas in the UK - and particularly "the loop", which people will go down hoping for the likes of Steve and Craig to be on the hillside
If the pilot walked away from it was this a crash or a forced landing?
So it's remotely possible it was related to an RAF flight?
It's happened here, in the non-restricted MOAs... near misses and occasionally collisions. Might have been a poorly-executed evasive maneuver, wake turbulence, or a collision.
the pilot was on a test flight in a Luscombe 8E Silvaire when he came down in the tree
And what do you mean by "the likes of"........what exactly is wrong with me and Cra.......oh, hang on......yeah I see your point embarrassed
You'll have to give us advance warning next time Charlie, and make it worth our while ;)
