Hardly surprising as the news service will be one of the hardest hit.

A self proving example... The sooner they scrap the license fee and have the Beeb showing adverts the better - at the moment it's like having adverts anyway. There seem to be a couple of minutes of BBC trailers between programmes now anyway...

Scrap the license fee, no chance. If the Beeb payed it's own way by showing adverts, the license would just change names, e.g, The Broadcast Airwaves Reception License or similar and go directly to the government of the day. Much the same thing once we are all driving about in non polluting H2O powered vehicles.

Back on track, I would just like to thank Sky News for the 2 1/2 minutes coverage that they took out of a busy schedule covering the return of a twice dismissed and convicted crook, 3000 miles away.

Ah well, coverage or not, well done to everyone involved at Bruntingthorpe since the aircraft was purchased by the Walton family in 1993. They always said their intention was that it would fly again, and now, thanks to 14 years of hard work, another generation of enthusiasts, spotters, and the general public will experience the noise of the Vulcan.

As for the BBC - they're still going on about their redundancies!
