Hats off to the BBC for cr*p reporting yet again. Good to hear no one hurt. Someone in the Heathrow Ground dept has earned a trip to the manager's office...

Ahh it's nothing just some unsettled business between Boeing's 747 and Airbus's A340. ;D ;D

Ahh it's nothing just some unsettled business between Boeing's 747 and Airbus's A340. ;D ;D

Looking at the full picture (literally) from WHCH-TV it looks like the A340 may have won  ;D ;D

They make it up Paul. Where did you get that quote from anyway? They must have uplifted updated the report since you spotted it.

Auntie Beeb is not what she was I'm afraid. Perhaps a tad better than the Sky TV News report that an engine had dropped off. ::)

Ah, I see. LOL :)

PS. The British Airports Authority officially ceased to exist following the 1986 privatisation. The correct name is BAA plc. Has been for over 20 years. http://www.baa.com/

Yawn, much a do about nothing. Unbolt the winglet, bolt a new one on, do the paperwork, have another cup of tea.

Reminds me of the time I got stuck in Bakersfield when a towed staircase knocked a chunk out of the wing of our aircraft and we were stranded there for over a day! Worst 24 hours of my life, the most exciting place was a tree with a tyre on a bit of rope hanging from a branch ::) I've never complained about Birmingham since :o ;D
