Mmm, it's getting to the stage where they're possibly wanting less attention though, particularly for the long awaited lift off... :)

To answer your question Matt I found it at http://www.tvoc.co.uk/forum.asp in the test flight section. You can even view 3 web cams of the aircraft in the hangar. According to the site she has been outside of the hangar on a couple of occasions for some testing.

And even though her appearance at the Yorkshire airshow was cancelled she is still scheduled to appear at Duxford on the 8th and 9th of September.

Thanks, an 11th hour trip to Duxford may be in order. Have to keep an eye out.

I think Steve's referring to the cancellation of the first NOTAM.

AFAIK, the Vulcan website and forum state there are no confirmed show dates for 2007. The apparent reason for the cancellation of the NOTAM is a one week slip on the current timescale (still waiting on parts according to the forum), so 1st/2nd/3rd week of September perhaps at the earliest. :)

If any of you lucky buggers in the area happen to see the launch, please get some footage! I don't know why they don't make the first flight into an event, they could make a s*it load of money which would help keep XH558 flying; we have all seen what's happened to foxy lady without sponsership, this way theres a chance XH558 won't be a giant billboard for a while!

They'd love to in revenue terms, but it would be illegal - it would be classed as a public display, which the first flight, or any of the test flights very definately cannot be.

However, all those who have supported the project financially were invited to enter a prize draw to be a guest at the first flight for the reasonable sum of
