The RAF seems to have dropped individual displays this year in favour of that stupid role demo thing.

But who's to say it was a choice between the role demo, or the solo displays? It was more likely to be the role demo or nothing (we certainly weren't going to get GR4, F3 and Hercules displays, let alone the E-3), so we're lucky that we're getting the demo and a chance to see these aircraft in action.
