The Most 'Missed' Plane

Postby an-225 » Sat Jun 02, 2007 5:06 am

As you could (probably) gather from the title, post here what which plane you 'miss' the most e.g. F-14 Tomcat, Concorde etc.

For me, it absolutely...positively...has to be the XB-70 Valkyrie.  ;)

Well when it goes, the Jaguar.

There'd be a lot that I haven't seen that I'd love to, but I can't really say I miss them if I have never actually seen them fly!

Concorde and the Vulcan - one is soon to be restored to its former glory - XH558 will fly again this year!!!

As for Concorde... there is a bunch of French guys keeping an Air France one in near-airworthy condition. Maybe one day.

The F-4 is still flying a lot with the Germans. As for my choice, I couldn't make one, far too much scope.

Probably the Concorde.  Although I am glad that BA and AF aren't pouring money into something that isn't profitable.

It's back on the circuit in a way, part of the role demo.

Yeah but it's a shame most of the RAF's solo dispalys have been axed because of this. Personally, i'd much rather see it (and other RAF types) display on it's own.  :(
