UK Airshows

Postby Mictheslik » Fri May 04, 2007 11:42 am

OK...anyone going to Abingdon (this sunday) or Biggin Hill (beginning of June)

I am going to Abingdon if the weather stays OK....its touch and go at the moment....if I don't go I may go to the great vintage flying weekend at Hullavington.

Biggin Hill Tickets arrived yesterday along with the train tickets....hope to see some people at one or the other ;)

I leave the smaller airshow out, the big ones for me.

The big ones are good, but the smaller ones are often the best, feeling more personal....Last year, despite going to RIAT and Farnborough, the best shows were Biggin Hill and Kemble.

Anyway....Biggin this year looks pretty good with a very strong line up....including the first of the RAF's new tactical displays :D

Abingdon information...a nice way to kick off the airshow year :)

Biggin Hill...bigger and better than ever...though nothing can beat the gnat and spit of last year...totally stunning

Oasis 744 should be interesting

Was going to do Breighton on Sunday, but it's unlikely now. Old Warden and Duxford looked good, but with the weather being a bit iffy not prepared to do such a long travel time.

I hope to make it to Biggin Hill on the Saturday if I can blag the day off work.. ;)
If I can't then I'll definitely be there on the Sunday as that's a rostered day off anyway although Saturday would be more preferable purely for the 744..  8-)
