Not a very pleasant way to start the weekend

B1 (Cat C) licenced engineer, Boeing 737NG 600/700/800/900 Airbus A318/19/20/21 and Dash8 Q-400
1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

These flipping news companys cant even go to the lengths of finding a picture of the right aircraft model or the crash!!

It would appear that the pilots ok at the moment but he got some injurys from ejecting

BAe ::) How come they're so good at selling weapons to dictatorships but they can't even keep the RAF flying? ;D

In Germany, they say BAe stands for "British Antique Equipment". Working on the BAe146, I some times think they are right, though I do try to correct them saying it stands for "British Advanced Engineering"  ;D

My best friend used to build 146s at Hatfield. Having heard the horror stories you'll never get me on one! My favourite was getting the wiring loom to fit. String it between two points and get the fatest bloke in the factory to use it as a swing and stretch it :o

Unfortunately, Hawks crashing at airfield with solo students seem to have tended to be pilot error in the past (although I'm not speculating on that quite yet). PPrune has mentioned the old flapless circuit.
