Blue Angels

Postby Mobius » Sat Apr 21, 2007 4:26 pm

Apparently one of the Blue Angels has crashed.  Has anyone heard any news on the pilot or anyone on the ground?

Terrible news, and I hope everyone involved is okay, and if not, my condolences to all those involved. :-/

Coroner's have confirmed one casualty, although no idea whether if it was a pilot or not.

Really sad what's happened  :'( Hopefully they decide to continue the season... I was looking forward to seeing them again at the Rhode Island National Guard Open House & Air Show  :(

Very sad news. The news channels seem to be reporting the one person as having been killed.

Tragic accident. I hope it was just a terrible accident and not pilot error. Just shows how much pressure these pilots are under during display conditions. Pilot N.06 RIP

Sad news.
And as always the news reporters rush for the big story, ignores the families emotions and feelings.

Terrible that he couldn't eject.  Normally pilots like them have phenomenal trigger fingers when it comes to that.  I guess the stand of pine trees were too much of a surprise.

It is a sad day indeed. Even sadder when you take in to account Lieutenant Commander Kevin J. Davis family was at that airshow and witnessed the crash.

My prayers go out the family of Lieutenant Commander Kevin J. Davis and the 8 injured people.

This is incredible for me...

A few months ago, he made an appearance at the Museum Of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington. He gave a speech about what the Blue Angels is all about, teamwork, and sticking together through everything. He told us that he was living his dream, and that he was very lucky.

"Stick to your dreams, because if you work hard at it, your dream will come true."-Lt. Commander Kevin J. Davis

Rest in peace
