Trijet Startup

Postby ReverseThrust » Sun Feb 18, 2007 12:17 am

What is the typical trijet start sequence?  I know that twins typically start engine two, then one (right, then left), at least in my experience.  Do trijets usually start the right or center engine first?

Yup. Usually they shutdown number 2 after landings and just taxi on 1 and 3's engine power.

Thanks.  I'm specifically talking about the falcon business jets (the 50 and 900 series)  but I imagine it's the same kind of thing.  thanks guys.

A company's MD11 procedure:
3-1-2

Then during taxing from landing, turn on APU, and shortly after you may take no2 offline.
