I got in the pilot seat of a Concorde cockpit thanks to my grandad while at 60000 FT while going Mach 2. Bearing in mind that was in 1998.
Isn't that totally illegal, terrorism aside?
Were you perhaps in the jump seat, or the engineer's seat?
My grandad used to work for British airways before he retired.
It doesn't matter who he worked for... it's illegal for non-crewmembers to sit in crew seats in flight on an airliner; has been for a long time.
I believe it's OK for one crewmember to get up (for a potty break or whatever), but as far as I know it's not OK for anyone other than crew to sit in the left or right seat in flight.
Not that I really care, personally... if they thought it was safe, so be it... but if anyone who was present is not retired, you could be exposing them to trouble by revealing such things online.
