This is old news.

Part of the result was the USAF not really trying very hard. Because if the F15 came out a clear winner in any military exercise then the government may think that the F22 was a waste of time and cut funding to it.

Exactly.  A very good friend of mine in marine intelligence had plenty to say about this, and the bulk of it was "don't put too much stock in it."  It is of course ridiculous to say the USAF deliberately threw it, but I doubt they seriously exerted themselves in a friendly exercise-not to mention they were outnumbered in every single exercise against comparable aircraft.

Really disagree, that the F-22 will become a exported fighter for allies, that is just too early in the game, "my opinion", and don't see a real good reason for a change from the F-15. The F-15 has the most sophisticated radar, across from the F-22 and shoot to kill awareness, shooting beyond enemy sight etc. That's all they need. 8-)

Sorry, but I think that you will not find a single fighter Jockey in the world that in any sort of combat, real or training is "not really trying very hard". Their Egos are just toooooooo big

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I've already addressed that point in my post.

1: Proving that they needed the F/A-22 was a pre-planned goal... im not surprised about that.
2: They really got their asses kicked by MiG-21's
3: IAF wasnt even showing their best (Su-30MKI with TVC was kept in the hangar as the US wasn't willing to let the F-117 join in the fun)

That'll be because the US don't like letting people in on the fact that their stealth aircraft arn't as stealthy as they would have you want to believe.

And that article confirms what has been said before-Americans were outnumbered 3 to 1 in EVERY scenario, and India has some damn good pilots.  In wartime, I know who I'm sticking with.
