Yak 50. We had one land at our last Club fly-in breakfast at Cornwall Regional. Of course a beautiful blonde gets out, takes off her helmet, long flowing hair blowing in the wind....She was as impressive as the magnificently restored Yak.

Ive seen one of those!

I have to add that one apparently, but also I need to add the Sino Swearingen, saw one yesterday.  One sexy jet...

There's a Yak 50 based down the road at EGBG, just a few miles from me.

I think I posted a while back saying that I saw it in formation with one of the resident Chipmunks.

I've seen all of these.  I've been in the B52 in the picture and I've looked in the cockpit of the AFTI F16.

Yes, its a cool plane.  Unfortunately the one I saw is a museum piece and has painted over windows and no engines...but still a really nice airplane.

If you want to get into museum pieces and not just talk about planes, Ive seen a Junkers Jumo jet engine that powered a ME-262

Forgot to say that a B-2 and a B-1 fly into Topeka every Freedom Day event... seen them a lot.

And a little more on the comedic tragedy side... I've seen a 747 that flew through a flock of birds.

Also been inside and all around this EC-121T at the Combat Air Museum at Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas.

and this Constellation at Salina, Kansas.

My Favorite Heli in the world at the National Guard Museum at Forbes Field Topeka, Kansas. (not too rare)

Heres a photo of the on of the Yak 52 I mentioned earlier... I'm sure this is it because there are only two painted in this scheme in this region of Kansas and i have seen both at Forbes at the same time... they sometimes fly with a CJ-6.

I've also seen one of the last three B36's in existance.  There's an excellent museum just outside of Omaha called the SAC Museum.

I plan on going to that very SAC Museum as well... that and the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.  Isn't one of the last remaining Atlas Missles at the SACM as well, dcunning30?

Aye! That reminds me, I saw it when I went for my flying induction lesson at Leicester. Nice one Tweek, I nearly forgot about that one!  :o ::)
