Just breaking on wire and TV Air crash in Nigeria details awaited.
105 Passengers on board crashed while taking off 737 model not known yet

I guess this is why so many African airlines are banned from flying to Europe.

It is being reported that the pilot of a Nigerian airliner that crashed did not heed air traffic control advice to wait for stormy weather to clear before taking off.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

:-/  They can't make the call for you, but when a controller repeatedly warns you to wait a while, it's advice worth heeding... they've been sitting watching the weather all day, usually... sometimes they know better.
