Shuttle's Off!

Postby Felix/FFDS » Sat Sep 09, 2006 10:17 am

Okay, so I'm about 50 miles from the launch site, but I still find it impressive every time one of the Shuttle's goes off.  Depending on the angle, sometimes it has appeared as coming out of my neighbor's chimney!

I just saw it on CNN, looked like a great launch.  You're really lucky to be able to see it all the time. 8) ;)

Missed the live coverage, but good to hear it went OK.
Big payload this time: 17.5 tons is what I heard (more trusswork for the ISS).  8)
