The search resumes the next day... and the weather is not cooperative.





They head upstairs, above the clouds, for a dawn star fix, then proceed to the last known position where the "Gibson Girl" was heard, hoping to find good visibility below the clouds.

The stranded crewmen decide to expend some energy making a big "X" on the frozen lake, using tree branches..
