Traffic Spacing

Possible I suppose. I don't know how satellites take their pictures.

well they both look like a320s, and they both dont have any bold colouring visible from above. I would say based on that it could be the same plane with the pictures taken in quick succession, maybe somewhere between these two planes is the seam between two pictures.

With me not being a real pilot (yet) I cannot 100% rely on this being realistinc, but on the sim, you will get permission to taxi into position and hold as soon as the guy ahead of you has been given clearence to take off. If the pilot of the second jet was in a hurry, he may have done what I do in the sim and stick his nose to the APU exhaust of the first jet and get lined up right away while the other guy is still blasting down the runway.

Who knows!... well not me.

That reminds me, If anyone has google earth, take a look at Bournemouth Intl Airport in the UK (find bournemouth, south coast of england, a couple of miles west of the Isle of Wight. The airport is on the north side of the town.) Aaaanyway, I digress, look at the plane lined up on one of the runways.... Is it just me or is that an A380!!!!!! Surely that runway isnt long enough for that beast to get aloft from!

They are definately the same plane. They have the same markings and you can see where the 3 joins of the picture are (the runway bends a bit)

As Craig says it's all the same plane. It's the same phenomenon that means that two aircraft are nose to nose on one of the taxyways...

As for Bournmouth, it's a 747 SP by the looks of it...
