Hawker Hunter, Crash :(

Hawker Hunter F.58 J-4061crashed at Oregon International Air Show (Video)
Former Swiss Hawker Hunter F.58 (F.6) J-4061 FAA registration N58WJ has crashed during a flying display at the Oregon International Air Show at 4:30pm PST Sunday. We have a video of the crash.

The plane crashed into a residential neighborhood near the Hillsboro Airport hitting three homes. The crash destroyed three homes and damaged a fourth.

The pilot and owner is Robert Guilford from California. He failed to eject from the aircraft.

Very sad event, not much else to say that other then this was a terrible aviation tragedy of a extrodinary aircraft. :o

I hope if I die in an aircrash people don't continually advertise the video all over the net... ::)

Just happening more and more. It's sadder though that a news company is still showing it on their site...

That is the way of the Internet and the blood lust of the people. If you ever end up a rising black cloud (And I do hope not of course), you can go to you grave assured of:

The video making the news.
A series of still images in the papers.
Dedicated websites that collect such videos ensuring your digital immortality.
If unlucky enough when surfing, a reminder to your nearest and dearest and closest friends of the size of the fireball that you made as you departed this world.
And lastly every armchair pilot who wants to watch and pass comment on a website/forum as to what you did wrong.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
