Yep. Apparently according to the planners, that gap, at 38miles, is unsatisfactory. Hence they wish to build new services "which will bring customers to the IWM". It'd just remove one of Duxford's biggest revenues....

I will start be pointing out that I am a huge Duxford fan, HOWEVER, if this mad plan does go ahead, as Charlie points out that field has had an aircraft or two parked in it in past years, then anything that brings down the prices of Duxfords food and drink is ok by me. I know that keeping these aircraft in the air is expensive (I worked at Duxford in the early 90's as a volunteer), but there is pricey, expensive and then there is f*#!ing greedy.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
