I'm a bit tired of the title 'Blair Force One' for this topic having seen it used in other discussions elsewhere as well, it isn't just for Tony Blair at all so that title is completely inaccurate, heck by the time the plan comes into effect he probably won't even be PM!

Well at least you can be sure that when the Queen or PM go travelling in the plane they'll have everything they need. Unlike the 2 C17's and 4000 men that Bush had as travelling companions on his las visit to England.

Yes but it gives an incorrect impression ::)

Not entirely so. Mr B could have created the right impression by spending the money buying (not leasing) a decent VIP/AAR fleet tailored to the specification needed to be operated by the RAF in the role to replace the severely limited VC10 fleet. Instead we're faffing around with FSTA, which as thie current rate may have replaced the VC-10 fleet when I've almost retired ::)...

heck by the time the plan comes into effect he probably won't even be PM!

Indeed... CamAIRon Force 1... ;D (please - any more cuts and he won't have an RAF to fly it...)

You try keeping the "Leader of the Free World" (it's in quotes and it's what he's often called, so don't make any trouble) alive.

Takes a tad more than a small security detail, eh? ;)

You know during the whole of the second world war Winston Churchill had just one body guard. :P
