I was in real doubt if this was gonna end in Real Aviation or History, but it ended here in Real Aviation anyways :)

BPB or no, it's the first I've seen... cool. and in glorious mil-spec color, ca. WWII... :)

even though it has changed very little... the process has been refined quite a bit over the past 60+ years i would say ;-)
