Chris these guys are for real. There is a discussion on anet about them with a link to the teams actual website with I believe video evidence. Its not really hard to believe this being done. Think of it like water ski'ing you go fast enough across it you'll be ok for surface tension and so on. Slow down or hit it wrong and well, bye bye plane.

I was thinking the same looking at the first shot, noticing the far aircraft only has one wheel on the water...

What they don't tell you is that the water's only an inch deep ;) ;D

And they can't be British either - the CAA would have a coronary... ;D

I never thought this was edited for one minute. I believe 'water-skiing' on rivers is/was a common sport by crop duster pilots after work. I have a video somewhere showing it being done (in Stearmans if I recall correctly).
