The scramjet tests are once again underway in Australia....

Great. You get blasted into the stratosphere by a bloody great rocket then you get propelled into the ground at 10 times the speed of sound. A once in a lifetime trip I think. ;D

Well the first test was a success http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4832254.stm I think they'll need to work out the landing procedure a bit before carrying passengers ;D
