That's scary!  I see UPS planes on the approach all the time as well.  Glad to hear they're ok.

Reminds me of the time a freighter wiped out landing at KEWR several years ago (heard the crash, and watched that ugly column of black smoke rising... terrible sight); gives one pause when one lives so close to the runways. But in that case, too, the crew and a couple of dead-headers got out OK... thank the gods of flight that it was a frieghter and not a passenger liner... :P
I don't worry about it much: the vast majority of arrivals and departures go without a hitch... don't want to get all "Chicken Little"...;D

 No Worries here about the sky falling!!

  About 10 to 12 years ago a jet was dropping it's gear and one of the landing gear covers decided to leave the jet.  It landed in the parking lot of the Cherry Hill Mall which is about a minute from my house.  Then there are the many stories of Blue Ice dropping on somebody's house!! :P
