Congrats, Tacit. :) My friend made his first solo about a year ago. Poor guy, looked like he was so jittery he would have yanked the yoke straight out of the cockpit.. ::)

Sincere congrats, Tac. Very envious of you. Thought many times about taking it from behind a pc to the real air. Cost and time constraints are hard to get around though.

But, hey! Glad you reached that goal. Always nice to see someone succeed.

Take one "Discovery flight". Most schools offer one for $50; I've seen discount coupons out there, too (no link at the moment-sorry). It's a real lesson... you will fly the aircraft.
Once you've tried it, then ask yourself: Can I afford the time and money to do this?
Your answer may change... ;D

Yeah they advertise the hell out of the first lesson for 50 bucks over here. I think it's 'BeAPilot.com'. That's what I'm afraid of though. After that first step holdin the controls, and that'll be all she wrote. ;D

My wife thinks I love my puter  and FS more than her as it is. Although, not many better than my girl. She would probably drive me to the field. ;D

If I do this and get hooked, I'm sendin my lawyer bills to you, Rotty. ;D
