Continental Airbuses

Postby VVM » Wed Nov 30, 2005 10:38 am

Hi.  I was flicking through a book of airlines I got about 15 years ago, and something caught my eye.  The book stated that Continental Airlines had 20 Airbus A330/340 on order.  What happened to these planes?  I know Continental filed for bankruptcy(in 1990 was it?).  Was the order cancelled because of this?

I know the order for the 340s was very serious, but cancelled.  i think they might have even had one done up in Continental livery and ready fro delivery but it never went through-- probably due to complications surrounding what you mentioned.

Hey mate,

Yes I'm still around.  The FS Gallery is back mostly under Ramos' control, but it looks as though it's going to really get on a roll and hopefully things will flourish.

Things have been very tough for me lately between school work, military exams, lacrosse, etc.  I barely even have time to fly in FS.  Not that it would matter much though considering my system seems completely shot and is barely able to run it-- quite a shame.  I just don't understand the troubes.  Been through 2 vid cards since I burned one out, the machine wont even recognize my AGP settings and only lets me tune PCI setting when its an AGP Card!!!!  Just a huge headache.

Hopefully I'll get back on the ball eventually, though.
