Postby VVM » Wed Oct 05, 2005 12:26 pm

If you post the date of your flight and airport you departed from and landed at i might be able to help.

I know one that you couldn't. The fact that I couldn't either has nothing to do with it. :P :D

Amazing piece of detective work Craig. I'm impressed. ;)

PS. This makes you even more of an anorak than me. ::)

What actually happened was that the SE.5a took off before the Bristol Fighter. There is a very considerable difference between these two aircraft & it's almost impossible to confuse them, one being a small single-seater & the other a much larger machine with a gunner's position behind the pilot. Our friend Mr. Spake was obviously reading from a script & enthusing about the Brisfit that had just taken off & was being displayed right in front of him while it was actually still on the ground. In fact I think it was me that first pointed this out & this sums up my opinion of using celebrities as air show commentators. ::)

PS. It might have been the other way round but I'm sure you see my point.
