I am wondering...where the heck does that thing land? On a runway or a gravel strip?

Some of the BA/Loganair Twin Otters land on the beaches up in the Orkneys and Shetlands on commercial services, so I wouldn't be too suprised by anything! ;D

used to have chipmunks flying over our football field at that height on landing sometimes. From the angle this was shot, the plane looks a little lower than it is. Not much but a little. ;D

Barra ....... the only schedualed airport in the world that's governed by the tides.

The RAF frequently operates C-130 off Pembrey Sands in Wales too...

Just how short is this pre-landing beach ?.......take a look Here..........you can actually see the corner of the runway in this image............

On that last image link there rifleman ..........I think the words on the side of the aircraft translate to "The Tourists are Panicing!"   ;)
