Large Plane Crash

An unknown plane with 200 passengers on board has slid off the runway, and crashed into a ravine at Toronto's Pearson Airport. Its on all news stations now. Pray for all involved, it dosen't look good

A-340....dang....that is terrible, and even worse, ther is a severe thunderstom bearing down towards the airport, with possible hail.

Sky now reporting that "onlookers" (ie, people who potentially don't have a scooby what they're talking about, but may do) saw both crew and passengers leaving the aircraft... Lets hope there is good news...

No victims,airbus 340 ranout runway and broke in a half
caugh in fire cnn seem that the weather in toronto was the cause there was a thunderstonm few visivility,the good new NO victims,and it seems also no injured or harm between the pasengers,it Haven't been an accident like this in a long time is a shame

I can testify to the thunderstorm!

I live about 10 K from Pearson...we were under a severe thunderstorm warning at the time and a tornado warning as well.

Pearson had a DC-9 run off the runway back in 1978...exact same place. After that accident they re-profiled the ravine to absorb crash energy if it ever happened again.

Todays miracle would suggest that it worked.

A very big GOOD SHOW to the emergency crews involved and the aircraft crew for averting a certain disaster.

There's several topics running on this subject. Latest BBC News reports suggest there are no serious casualties. The media loves this sort of thing & their comments are at the best unreliable. No point in speculating so it's best to wait until the facts are known.
