Odd one out

Postby GWSimulations » Sat Apr 09, 2005 10:46 am

Which of these is the odd one out?

Boeing B-52 Stratofortress.
Lockheed U-2.
General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon.

CLUE: It has NOTHING to do with popular names (either official or unofficial) or manufacturers.

Well,

You could say the F-16 and U-2 are only single engined, making the 52 the odd one out. Or the B-52 and the U-2 both making first flights in the 1950s maybe...

Other than that, pass, although the F-16 may go out of frontline USAF service before both the U-2 and the B-52...

Something to do with not being shot down?
Ones a bomber ones spy, ones fighter.
U2 doesnt carry weapons.
Too many odd one out combos you'll need to give more clues i think. Or for me at least :-[ :)

F16 was the only one of the three to get exported to other airforces?

Right aircraft, wrong reason...

CLUE: Don't think about the aircraft, think about the names.

Well, I don't know if the U-2 ever had a name. The B-52 is unoffically known as the BUFF but the F-16 is possibly the only one with an official name, the Fighting Falcon.
