"Eyebrow" Windows

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Sat Apr 09, 2005 3:29 am

Hello all,
I was just wondering what eyebrow windows were for. Almost all 737's have them. Yet no Airbus aircraft has had them if I am right. I was just wondering what they were for and if they were important. If you would like to see what I am talking about have a look at Airliners.net and search with the word Eyebrow on the search engine.

Cheers,
Ashar

PS:I don't know how to hyperlink text to URL's in the Forums. Anyone willing to help me out? ???

In the days before things like TCAS then as many windows in the cockpit were good. Also in turns it woulg give better visibility.

I don't know if you could use them for stellar navigation (or whatever it is).
