Airline Pilot Hours

Hey...

I have a quick question. About how many hours per week do airline pilots work?

Thanks

Depends. What flights, what rank (Captain, F/O, etc.), what airplane, what airline. Every week you can be working different hours depending on the route you get.

For example, some pilots, the high end ones, fly about 12-15 days a month, flying the max 8 hours per day then switching crews.
Others, the new guys, regional pilots, may fly 8 hours a day, every day, including weekends. Like I said, depends on the airline and everything else.
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

Maybe I could refer you to a great website that has a ton of real-world info on this kind of stuff. www.jetcareers.com

I'm a member there, along with a whole slew of very knowlegable people who fly in the airline/corporate environment every day.
