Indeed. One of those things that you really really wanna try out.

"come on please please hand me the keys to the space ship, I'll give you a dollar!"

Ya, bloody airshows can do damage to your ears.

Worth it though. ;)

Speaking of noise, this is not the most sensible thing I ever did. ::) Taken with my old Fuji F401 - no zoom necessary. This wasn't even at an air display. My ears are still ringing now. :o

PS. Warning. Don't try this at home without industrial quality ear protection.

Due to my exams, I miss some good shows around here such as Zeltweg Airpower in Austria, Red Bull Airrace in Rotterdam and the Paris Airshow featuring the A380 (in flight) and probably the Su-30... :(

Those on my list for now are some local (small) shows around here and off course the RIAT at Fairford. There are plans to go to the Czech Intl. Airfest in Brno and the Edwards Open House (if they don't cancel it this time) or Aviation Nation at Nellis...but I first have to get the budget together.  ;)
Raw power...the J-58.

Now officially recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the worlds largest military airshow...
