Directory of Airline Pilots ?

Postby Jamie » Sun Feb 20, 2005 6:09 am

I have been looking for a young fellow who used to watch me build model planes years ago .  He later became a pilot for Delta ( I believe ) and I am wondering if there is a directory to find current and retired pilots ?  He may be retired by now .

Also , I just discovered the e-mail Icon for Saratoga who apparently flies for a major airline , but clicking on the Icon gave me only an error page .  Would like to contact him if possible or have him contact me .

Thanks ,

Jamie

Most of the airlines have databases with their pilots in it. Unfortunately only pilots flying for that airline have access to it. So finding another Delta pilot will solve your problem I guess.  ;)

jrpilot and Mr. bones ,

Thanks for the information .  Perhaps I shall run across another Delta pilot someday .  I would really like to make contact with him and recall when he and his Dad , who was chief Pilot for Delta back in the 50's , invited me along on a 6 mos. check ride in a DC-7 Golden Eagle
( I think it was called a golden Eagle and I remember a large plaque like an Eagle at the rear of the cabin )  .  We had the entire cabin to ourselves and was something I shall never forget .

Thanks ,

Well Saratoga, I am here. Dunno why my email wouldn't work.

There are directories for airline pilots, past and present, mainly for managers to contact us when they need us to work extra :P. But Delta has their's and American has ours, and I don't have access to theirs. Sorry. :(
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

Thanks anyway Saratoga .  I'll keep talking to folks and perhaps I'll run across someone who knew them .
I was just going to try to contact you Saratoga because I like to talk airplanes and also wondered for whom you fly .  Really not terribly important .
I just happened to notice that e-mail Icon to the left of your reply page and clicked on it , but got --
Server Error'/' Application
The resource cannot be found .
Thanks and take care ,

Ya I've heard that lately. I dunno why, it's weird. Works just fine when I click it. Oh well.

I am with you, I love to talk airplanes. Sometimes my wife thinks I talk airplanes to much, but that's neither here nor their. I fly for American. If anyone ever wants to talk airplanes though, please, do contact me. ;)

If you are still looking, go look around the FAA registry

Hi afiOyz ,
I shall probably just have to find a local pilot who may know the young man I am looking for .  I did go to the site , but only knew his nickname .  His Dad was Lee McBride -- chief pilot for Delta and his son was Tinky Mc Bride .  Funny that I never knew his real name .
Thanks to all for the help ,
