I am building an RV-7.. There are a number of chat groups and personal web pages for the RV's of all numbers... Go to Van's RV web site and look there... Also, a google on rv-6/rv6/etc. should bring up sites...

An aside, i just shot a couple of ILS approaches with FS2002, and I am impressed by how twitchy the simulator is compared to the ILS approaches I just flew  for real...  The sim drifts off quicker and then is slower to respond to corrective input when on the glideslope... Nothing bad as I never drifted more than one or two dots at any time, but a real approach is a piece of cake compared to the sim... If you can fly the sim, you can fly the real iron..

I have tried ON TOP and I like the way it flies better than MSFS, but neither ver7 or ver8 is happy with my computer as I can only get part of the controls to work... Spent time on the phone with ASA guy, but he could not solve either... So, staying with MSFS..  Where do I go to get my money back!?

Gotta go as my renewal on the medical certificate is sked for 1pm today...

Cheers  ...  Denny

Not one to drop a wet blanket on your fire here, but when you get your project done, and you have accumulated 5 yrs flying time on the airframe and about 9000 hrs in total, make sure you don't wind upthis way......
.......this incident occured last Thursday and its still a very touchy subject with me........

The cynic in me (I'll bet Hagar thought something along these lines) has me worrying about someone who is building a REAL airplane asking for construction tips in a VIRTUAL aviation site .. . :)

Of course, one has to conveniently overlook the combined experience of the people that actually frequent this site, but then, who am I to spoil the story with little details like .. the truth?

I wouldn't pinch the one off the Y2K guys, they've helped me a great deal with getting things underway. A really nice and friendly bunch of guys.
Craig Zeberdee (Chris) and myself are planning a smash 'n grab at RAF Hendon, if you want to give us a hand (and help prevent us old men getting hernias)... ;) ;D
