Accident of Location

Postby Smoke2much » Sat Feb 12, 2005 6:39 am

It seems that Dartford is on the approach path to one of London's airports.  I work on the hill overlooking the Dartford crossing and there is constant air traffic over head.  All of it low and slow.

The other morning at about 06.00 Hrs I was out side having a nicotine fix when a (I think) 747 went over very slowly at about 3000 feet.  As she passed overhead she dropped her gear and her nose started to come up slightly.  I guess she was lined up for Gatwick but my GA knowledge is slightly limited.

I will try and get some shots for the photo's section in the summer.

Seems an ideal location. Why wait till summer? Plenty of nice weather this time of year or any time of year come to that. A nice day in winter is usually ideal for clear, sharp photography. Get that camera out & start shootin'. ;)

My colleagues will rip to shreds but I'll see what I can do.
